NMEA 2000 Remote Sensor Box
SeaGauge-Remote N2K is a multi-function digital marine gauge that replaces mechanical instruments and gauges in marine and boat electronics applications. Now get digital instrumentation display of a variety of boat performance parameters such as TACHOMETER, RPM, OIL PRESSURE, ENGINE TEMPERATURE, FUEL LEVEL, VOLTMETER, MAIN and AUXILIARY BATTERY, and much more all in a compact sealed design. SeaGauge-Remote N2K provides a path for older gas or diesel engine sensor data to be viewed on compatible NMEA 2000 equipment. Uses Serial and NMEA 2000 formats to transmit gauge readings to SeaGauge Color Displays and laptops or embeded PC. Combine vDash with a Sea Gauge-Remote unit to create a complete low cost PC based engine monitoring system with data logging and optional wireless interface. SeaGauge-Remote N2K mounts out of the way and sends instrumentation data in NMEA 2000 format via built-in ports. This data can be read by a SeaGauge display head unit or other NMEA compatible equipment. All sensor wiring can be completed in the engine bay by single NMEA 2000 cable which transmits to helm or other locations. SeaGauge-Remote N2K transmits gauge readings via built-in serial or USB connections to your laptop or PDA for real-time display and data logging. NMEA 2000 integrated instrumentation sentences (PGNs) ensure compatibility with on-board equipment. Gauge readings can be transmitted and displayed on other NMEA 2000 devices. SeaGauge can also decode many NMEA 2000 PGN sentences such as Engine parameters, battery condition, fluid levels, Weather Station (PB200) and GPS information for display on SeaGauge Color Screens or PC. Bluetooth wireless connectivity option allows a laptop or PDA to receive data up to 100 feet away. Software for personal computer or is available for display and real-time data capture. The Bluetooth wireless capabilities allows one unit to be installed in the engine room or helm while a second unit can mounted at an alternate location without running additional wires. SeaGauge-Remote N2K can be programmed to match you existing sensors/senders. Simply attach to a computer or PDA via serial cable or wireless ports - and download a text file to recalibrate. All display values are user programmable by typing values in any text editor and downloading to the device. Unit can be upgraded in the field without removing from the dash. No matter what your current sender/sensors are currently installed - SeaGauge can adapt. SeaGauge-Remote N2K is compact in size, big on function. Mount in remote location close to senders and send data to helm or bridge via a single thin serial cable. One unit will replace 10 mechanical instruments in one quarter of the space.
